Keweenaw Mountain Lodge & Golf Course is a Resort, 9 hole golf course located in Copper Harbor, Michigan.
The Keweenaw Mountain Lodge and Golf Course Complex, which opened on June 23, 1935, was conceived and constructed during the Great Depression years of the 1930's. One of hundreds of public works projects sponsored by the federal government at that time, unemployed copper miners were re-employed to clear the land on which the Lodge and its golf course now reside. The trees that were cut were used to construct the main lodge and guest cabins. These hand hewn log structures have been carefully preserved for almost 70 years, and are a rare and unique step back in time.
The course follows the natural topography of the surrounding hillsides, with watered fairways and spectacular views. This par 36 course offers a breathtaking setting and challenging layout.
Alternate tee boxes allow you to play a double loop 18 with the "back nine" tee boxes set at different angles giving a varie look to the holes from the tee box.
With the Lodge's northern latitude, daylight remains long into summer evenings,
making an 18-hole round after dinner possible.

Classic golf course in an exceptionally beautiful part of Michigan, The amenities are limited, but you can't beat the view from the first tee anywhere. A difficult course to walk as there are extreme differences in elevation on almost every hole. I've played it several times and have enjoyed it each time . The only problem encountered was that the folks that run the course tend to cater to the tourists and have no marshal.
